Effect of Grit and Interpersonal Skill on College Life Adaptation of Nursing Students

Abstract
This study is a descriptive correlational study to verify the relationship between nursing students¡¯ grit, interpersonal skills, and college life adjustment and to identify factors influencing college life adjustment. The subjects of this study were 179 first-year students in the 2021 year of nursing at a university located in S city. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire from November 15, 2021 to November 30, 2021, and SPSS WIN 21.0 program was used. and analyzed as follows. Results Analysis of the correlation between grit, interpersonal skills, and college life adaptation of first-year nursing students showed that grit (r=.320, p<.001), interpersonal skills (r=.548, p<.001). There was a significant positive
correlation. The variables that significantly affect college life adaptation were happiness level, perceived learning amount, credit satisfaction last semester, grit, and interpersonal skills, and 43.6% of these explanatory skills were interpersonal skills as the biggest factors affecting nursing students¡¯ college life adaptation.
